Ok, the movie starts with the sight of a planet being destroyed by some kind of gigantic cloudform which after it devastates the planet, it leaves into space following a silver spike that escapes the destruction. Que title and after the credits we see the spike has managed to finds it's way to the moon and the earth. Stage shift into japan, where a fishing boat is rocked by the silver spike passing by, and some of the fishermen fall but the do not sink due to the lake being frosen for miles, then it passes over the Sphinx in Egypt causing snow to fall.
Enter Baxter Building, where we can see Reed (mr. Fantastic) analysing cosmic radiation on his PDA, then Sue (Invisible Woman) enters warning him to forget about job, because he promised her to focus on their wedding. (We learn that it is the 4th time that they try to do it.). Johnny Storm plans the bachelor party that he convinces Reed to attend with Ben(The Thing) There we see Reed dancing with some chicks using his elastic talents (What's with Marvel and dancing these days?), when a General Hager breaks the party along with Sue, telling Reed about the weather disturbances, and asks him to build a tracking devise. Reed declines due to his wedding plans, (he builds the thing anyway, without telling Sue) We see then the spike passing over Latveria, which awakens Doom from his frosen chamber.
The wedding follows (With Stan Lee cameo), but before the priest could start, his PDA that Reed linked to his tracking device warns him that the disturbance is heading to New York. A power sortage breaks, and the news helicopter falls to the guests and is about to kill Alicia( Ben's GF), but Sue and Ben stop it before hurting save her. The Torch then after a chase in the city chases the spike and we see the surfer for the first time being it (duh)Then Surfer grabs Torch by the neck, fly's to the upper atmosphere, and he trows him back to earth, but Johnny survives.
We learn that the encounter with Surver made Johnny's molecules unstable, and whenever he touches another of the FF he exchanges powers with them (with comical effects). Reed find out about big craters that the Surfer opens in the surface, and finds out that the next one would be in London. There, after the Surfer appearace destroys the london Eye (Ferris Wheel), they try to save the trapped people in it, but with the Torch unstable powers they almost have them killed. We see inbetween Doom offering the Surfer an alliance in the Arctic, the Surfer turns his back, que the blast from Doom, then Surfer sends Doom flying through the ice, where Doom find that the radiation from Surfer has healed his metalic skin. (from the 1st movie). General Hager enlists Doom to help the FF, and he (Doom) informs them that the source of SS powers is the board he's flying on. Then they create a damper generator which will seperate Surfer from his board. They encounter him in Germany, where Surfer warns them about "the Destroyer" and he saves Sue from a rogue missile fired by Gen. Hager. (He's not a bad guy, again Duh.) The FF activate the damper field and the army takes Surfer for questioning. Sue uses her powers to infiltate the room that the army is torturing him, and learns the Destroyer's name: Galactus. Surfer is bound to his service to save his home planet and the woman he loves there. Galactus travels from world to world eating Geothermal and Organic energy, killing the planets in his path. He follows the Surfers board as a beacon to visit the worlds that he kills. Doom betrays the General that he allowed him to examine the Surfer's board, and he's infused with the power cosmic. He kills Hager and escapes. The FF along with Surfer follow him, (With the fantasticar that Reed was building though the movie.) Doom is far too powerful for them, and the fight takes them to Hong Kong. There, Sue is wounded seriously by Doom, and Reed says that it's gonna take combined efford to take Doom down. Johnny, since Sue is down, offers to take all of their powers at once, easely besting Doom is a fight.(he resembles Super Skrull while he does that.) The Surfer reclaims the board while Galactus is arrived, and has enveloped earth with his cloud form. Surfer then saves Sue from death by healing her, then says to Reed that his choice is to stop the cosmic entity. He flys to the center of the cloud, with Johnny's help, then he channels all his power, (We see flashes of Galactus Helmet form in siluettes while he does that.) and blows up the gigantic form without harming Earth. With Sue ok and Johnny back to normal, the FF decide to continue working as a team, (Sue and Reed wanted to quit through the movie for a normal life) and the couple gets married in China, hastly though bacause Reed is informed of an emergency which springs the team to action (Venice is sinking.No, really, that's what he says.). The credits roll, and we see Surfer, floating into space, when his board come to life and aproaches him. Well, that's the movie. Better than the 1st one. But has too many jokes in it to be taken serious, the Thing is underused, Alba (Sue) is as bland as ever, but the Surfer character is very true to his origin and ways. (Voised by L. Fishbourne.) Doom is a better villain this time, although he spends to much time unmasked. Was fun in my opinion, better than the Ghost Rider movie this year, but not as good as Spidey 3 (which got lukewarm reviews). Not bad though.
