civilization, make it like Civ V

Oh god yes. The removal of unit stacking was the only improvement over the other games, practically everything esle took a plunge, all in the name of gaining "broader appeal" by impementing simpler mechanics. Eww.

unit stacking made war so much more simple, attacking a  costal city in civ V is so fucking annoying because you can only have a limit amount of unit around the city and if the computer didn't improve his jungle or forest tiles you get -1 in vision from those tiles so the early artillery units are often useless, but anyway capturing a city in civ V is never worth it with the huge unhappiness you get from it and puppeting a city is even more worse, for me nothing in civ V was an improvement over civ iv beyond the sword other than the graphics.

I think the removal of unit stacking is here to stay, and I think I support the decision to be honest. Civ V with Brave New World means you have the religion system back, with an interesting tourism mechanic and improved AI - Civ V on its own is disappointing, but with this DLC it's definitely a step-up from Civ IV imo

I got to disagree here:

First, the AI still do the same as it did in civ v vinilla, they expend towards you and once your borders touch, war is not far behind. You can also spend 250 turn not doing anything agressive to the AI and on the same turn 2-3 AI will declare war on you for no apparant reason.

Second, religion was very strong in civ iv, I used to play at the immortal difficulty and I would probably never take a religion unless all my neigbors had the same because I knew that would cause I huge diplomatic hit with the AI not sharing the same religion as me and also capturing shrine cities was the best feeling in the world, now in civ v you get small bonuses you barely notice and from what I saw religion doesn't affect diplomacy by much.

They also made the wonders very weak, you need to keep your cities pretty small through out the game if you want to manage the happiness, that means your cities won't produce much hammers till very late in the game which make buying with gold so much more powerful. I don't know about tourism but it look like you need wonders and a pretty big empire with dig sites to generate a decent number of toursm each turn.

Also I'd like to note that I played civ iv beyond the sword with the bug mode which with two small features made civ a whole lot more enjoyable and less random

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
