Budokai, any of the Marvel Fighting games, etc, etc. And the main common point between them is the gameplay itself, not the story. |
And I never said it was. I never stated that the story in Dissidia ruins the overall game, since as you said, it's a fighting game at its core. My post is doing as the op said, if you were to remove one thing from this companies franchise to make it a bad game, and I stated the battles, giving reference to the previous games in the series, all of which had bad storylines, showing that Square Enix can't write a good script.
I've clarified with you already, doing so now a second time, after you've spun my words on it that I am not saying what you're insinuating I'm saying. I haven't said Dissidia is a bad game because of its story. I haven't even said it's a bad game. I haven't talked about the quality of anything really other than the Final Fantasy series being a bad franchise, and while I didn't say so, the reasoning behind my opinion is mainly Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2.
You've took my words out of context and created your own self contained argument. If you'd like to win an argument that I'm not even a part of, then hey, you won. You don't even have to post last. I will completely agree with everything you write because I am only stating the quality of Square Enix's script writing is crap, and I believe if there was no battle system, the series would be even worse off.
*edit*
Which since you like Dissidia, do you play often? Would play through adhoc party if you're interested.
