Probably just a warning since the child was not in any real danger. But, the simple fact is, if you are going somewhere and you know you will not be able to take the kids out of the car with your for whatever reason, don't go. Do it later with help from other adults or leave the kids with someone else. |
not to nit pick but that is exactly the point. the woman was not far from the car, it was cold outside (hello, December in Chicago) and it was only a couple minutes. Not like she stood outside talking for 30 minutes to an hour with someone while it got cold in the car. This police officer obviously had a stick up his/her ass and I hope he/she gets severly reprimanded for it.
