Also giving out an aim SN isn't a good idea either because I've also gotten random people sending me IMs with perverted questions and whatnot. Thus why I've had my aim privacy settings set to only people on my buddy list for years.

That is nasty. How did you set your AIM privacy setting? A friend of mine had an exboyfriend that was eStalking her by making new AIM accounts to IM her. She eventually made a new AIM account because we didn't know what to do. :(

My aim > Edit options > Edit preferences > Privacy > Who can contact me: Only allow users on my buddy list

Thanks! Hopefully that won't be needed in the future, but it's good to know.
