Why mention a bad metacritic score game??? Why not mention Killer Instinct, Forza 5, and Dead Rising 3, 3 big games that clearly out-variety PS4's one worthwhile exclusive FPS? X1 has great 2014 upcoming games as well.

Just saying people are buying it for the price and the name, not for what is actually available. Which is nice for Sony and allows for bragging rights from fans.

Ok, then why not mention Resogun using that logic? It's the highest rated exclusive on the PS4 and XBO. My point was that most people buy these consoles as a future investment, to get games that are coming later. Most people bought the XBO to play Titanfall or Halo. They didn't pay 500 bucks for Dead Rising 3 or Not Turismo 5.

I wouldn't have bought the PS4 or XBO if I could only play their launch lineups. I bought so many more exclusives for the PS3 than 360 so that's why I felt comfortable getting a PS4. I know the great exclusives will come, Sony has some of the best developers in the world. It all begins in March with Infamous Second Son. And XBO owners get to enjoy Titanfall, so everybody wins!

Believe me, I like to count digital titles, but they were always downplayed by PS fans last gen because they werent retail and AAA. On the other hand, digital titles are rarely system sellers.

BTW, an investment tends to appreciate in value, not depreciate. It isn't a bad thing to say something is currently selling on brand name/price alone. PS4 is viewed as trendy and more affordable. Gamers rarely buy a console for games that don't exist yet. Early adopters are just that, they adopt for the sake of adopting.

I disagree, i believe that its the support Sony has shown with both the PS2 and now PS3 in the later years of their lives that is causeing the PS4 to be as popular as it is. Also imo you are contradicting yourself in the same paragraph.

Apologies I meant when the early adopting phase is over, gamers will only buy when a game they want just released/is about to release. Now is still the early adopter phase where PS4 is sold on its concept and promise of more to come.

I agree with you here. The thing is you and i both know the games are coming, if not this will be reflected in trust lost(sales) next generation. i mean look at the WiiU
