I agree with all your points, except I don't completely agree with point 2. Many people are buying the console for the console, not the free game. A heavily bundled game doesn't show the true strength of the franchise. And you can tell which games get bundled a lot by looking at their sales in their second and third years on sale. Fans of the franchise claim the game has very long legs, whilst opposing fans will claim all sales are just from bundles. I think its both.
