Yeah I used to be a huge KZ fan (bought a PS3 the day KZ2 came out, much like I will an Xbone the day TF comes out, this one looks to have a much better result though) and even though I thought the game was unbalanced as hell I dug the maps and weighty feel to the movement so I went ahead and day one'd KZ3 as well.
Was extremely disappointed in that game, mostly because it seemed buggy and rushed to launch. I could rarely get into games that weren't like 8 on 4 the entire time. I was honestly surprised to KZ:SF review so poorly as all impressions seemed to indicate it was a good blend of KZ2/3 MP. I guess the SP is just that bland, idk.
I agree about the 2 core groups. Nothing wrong with enjoying or preferring bigger battlefields with lots of players. I have friends who refuse to play shooters on any console just because they prefer huge online player counts on PC.
