If they are not popular, the casuals dont buy hardware, if casuals dont buy hardware then third parties dont bother, and in turn this affects sales and budgets of the exclusives. Theres no point launching games for niche markets first and then bringing out the popular stuff when the HW sales fail. Its more logical to bring out popular stuff first to shift HW and then launch exclusives aimed at gamers with different tastes to lure in the remaining. The faster a company can get the HW to a certain amount, the more money they will make from games whether they are first or third party. I dont expect a change in fortune for the vita until we see something like a proper call of duty or GTA los santos stories, or a god of war made by santa monica, not some second rate developer who was told to make it for some quick money. |
Vita got Uncharted the second biggest Sony IP only Gran Turismo is bigger then it.
I think the god of war serie has coming to an end it won't be onother one.
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
