That's a good point, but I doubt Sony thought that far ahead. I don't think they expected the camera to catch on with streamers, hopefully now they recognize the potential and put some more weight behind it. Sony has a big advantage here as the XBO doesn't have Twitch yet and Nintendo won't even pay attention to the market I have PS Move but I didn't get the camera. The whole streaming thing doesn't interest me and there doesn't appear to be any games that use it in any meaningful way. I wish Killzone Shadow Fall had Move support considering how well it worked with Killzone 3. |
You really dont think Sony thought the camera would catch on with Streamers? Sony actually has twitch and Ustream available from Day1 on the PS4...Not only that but live broadcasting is one of the main things they pushed at their conferences.
So yeah gotta disagree with you here, I think they knew very well how popular it would be. Dont forget Sony also has a few MMO games on PC...which get decent time on Twitch im sure they are aware of the rise of streaming in the PC market.
