Niche games like these aren't translated into other languages anyway. The only publisher that refuses to release English games inthe German market is Nintendo, and that's the only reason why games like Xenoblade and Bravely Default have a German text option. It's also the reason why Pokémon Conquest was never released in any country that usually gets its own version (France, Spain, Germany) but was released in the UK.
So it really wouldn't be a problem to use the US version (except of it's price because, even though the Dollar is worth much less than the Euro and prices are still the same in a numerical way if a game is released here, import taxes and especially shipping costs make it more expensive than a European version), but you know, region locking.
That's one of the few things I have to give the Vita credit for. It's weird how Nintendo invented region locked but didn't use it on their handhelds and suddenly starts to enforce it on those as well while Sony is abandoning region locking since the PSP. Kind of a reverse process. But Nintendo is weird like that I guess.
