The fact that the PS4 has been sold out dosen't mean it's a very high demand. Is this that hard to understand? OR you won't be satisfied with next month NPD numbers again?

There is a contradiction here my friend:

1st: ps4 is a worldwide product and not only released in US (hence your mention in NPD). Sony has to allocate everywere, so only a percentage goes to US.

2nd: sold out means only one thing: all avaialble stock is gone. That means it has a high demand. That's why it sells. Now, lets take into account that the console is out in most countries by 29/11. It's almost 2 months that its out and STILL ppl form qeues to get their hands on it.

3rd. I don't know if it's official, but the demand for Japan has reached 1million preorders.

If these reasons don't mean high demand, i don't know what demand is.

We are talking about Best Buy USA.

USA is the only place we have relaible historical data, so, it's the only place I am ok in making prediction.

For me Japan is a strange market, and it's point less for our discusion, unless their demand affect the USA supply in late february.

I am pretty sure that Sony keeps a percentage of consoles in the current production to have ready for the Japanese launch. So yeah we might see some big changes in february data
