But I don't think TSMC can produce 1.5m PS4's APUs per month... they have to produce to nVidia, AMD, Microsoft and others. So I believe TSMC is supplying Sony with ~1.2m chips max per month... 1m is not out of question too. What can happen in the next months is TSMC decreasing the production of Xbone's APUs due MS started to ask less because the slow demand of the console... so this space can be fit with more PS4's APUs for Sony if they want. eing But I don't know how the contract between TSMC and Sony works... or even the TSMC and MS. |
No it won't happen. XOne and PS4 production will decrease at the same level, the next few months. Production are going to ramp again only in September to the next hollydays. There are no games nor features to people get that excited by either console. The PS4 shortages is due supply.
You are funny. You just invent things and start beliving in them eventhoug it's contradicts the facts we saw in the past and your other especulations that you belived were right. And you never tire of being wrong.
If XOne APU had yeild issues, now that they are solved MS can produce more unities and supply unatended markets. But what the hell, you can't decide in what story you are sticking with.
OT: Only a dozen mentions on twitter in the whole day. Anedoctal evidence is anedoctal.
