Sorry, but that is just stupid.

That's like saying "I slept through a tornado once and nothing happened then."

 there is nothing wrong with that logic--my parents weighed the situation and decided a five min trip into the store was not worth getting all the kids out of the car........now keep in mind we were never left in the car if it was over 60 outside, or if it was a busy parking lot where someone might try to take us-----  and it is true it only takes once for bad things to happen...but i think as a whole people are getting dumber and  more parinoid about situations like this
