These numbers only show that Sony has to increase the install base asap, because it will be beneficial both for Sony and 3rd parties. At 7.5 mil Vita is finally becoming more than just a joke and is slowly starting to become reasonable. I just hope that once they reach 9-10 mil they make a hard push at the biggest Western devs like Rockstar, Bethesda, Activision, EA, Ubisoft. They need their help and 3rd parties would benefit long term as well from the creation of this additional market. If only other divisions finally gave Sony a break, so that they could actually invest some money into what will earn them money a bit further down the line than just in a couple of days...

Yeah, it WILL be very interesting to see future multiplat (Vita/3DS) games, and how those will pan out once the Vita gets more of an instal base. I wonder what it will take for Rockstar, Bethesda and the likes to actually develop for the Vita (and I'm even MORE curious what'll take for them to do a 3DS game).
3rd parties would benefit long term IF the Vita actually takes off. After 2 years on the market, I'm starting to doubt it'll ever will...
