I don't understand how that's pissing on my "parade". Fact is, 3rd party developers makes far more money on the 3DS than they do on Vita. The 3DS is a more profitable platform for publishers. And in the end, THAT'S what matters. The original Xbox had the highest tie ratio of any console, and I think GC was close behind. You gonna tell me THAT mattered in the end?

Nintendo also take much higher percentages and charge higher licensing which puts off smaller developers and publishers.

And you seem to forget, there was a time when 3DS sales were poor too, developers and publishers support the platform from a standpoint that it has potential to grow, and those that buy in to the platform become potential buyers for future software, and conversely, older software too.

And quite frankly,  the profit margins of releasing games on xbox live and psn are better, and the SDKs used to actually make the games gives much better support for networking and infrastructure options, all in all a lot of the lost revenue in sales due to a smaller install base are ofset by the money saved developing, advertising, and publishing with playstation over nintendo.

For many it's simply a matter of having more control over things, and not having to bleed money to nintendo for the sake of releasing on the 3DS.

You are clearly a Nintendo fan however, so I'm not too sure you'll be able to swallow that.

Well, I can't adress your first point, since I know nothing about that. You could very well be right. Although, I will say this, Nintendo has recently allowed 3rd parties to set their own prices on the eShop, and even have sales independently. This should mean that 3rd parties has a rather big influence in how much money they'll make from their software.

The 3DS were doing poorly for 8 months, not 2 years. I understand why developers supports a new console, but the Vita isn't new anymore. And besides, I think that is besides THIS point.

I don't understand why you're even mentioning xbl; this is a comparison between the 3DS and the Vita, and how well 3rd parties are doing on them respectively.

While I am a Nintendo fan, I have no problems critizising them, nor am I unwilling to learn new things and convinced that my current point of view is wrong.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
