What? You don't require a credit card to download free apps, uninformed consumer. You can make a US account with no CC information, and top it up with prepaid cards if needed later on. I know, because I have a US account with no CC info attached to it.
This is how parents should set up the accounts for their kids... you would never give your CC to your fve year old son.
But I agree that in-app purchases should require password by default, although it's an option as described by NiKKoM.

The last time I made an account for someone was a little over a year ago so that could be the reason. I think apple recently made it so u can make an account without needing a cc.

oh ok u expect parents to actually know how to do that? I read online that unless u follow that step by step u still gotta put in a cc. so no dice still apple's faut for making it difficult.
