Seece was never a mod. Maybe you confused him for being one, because he enjoyed real mod protection (not the thing that is commonly joked about).

Ah, interesting. This is probably the first time my VGC memory tricked me. And yes, I think you nailed it, I most probably remember him as a mod because back then he constantly moderated other members although he wasn't even allowed to. Protected by his powerful buddy machina. At that time it felt as the site was entirely controlled by machina, Seece and nordlead (while the three great and most important team members of the early days had more or less left the site: TheSource, naznatips and TalonMan). That was the only time I ever really considered leaving VGC behind.
