Some of my favorite VG characters are women who fight for themselves and even men. I can't stand the damsels in distress...one reason why I detest the premise behind Mario. My all time favorite VG character is Aya Brea from the parasite eve series seen in my avatar.

Yup, disney is especially responsible for shoving the damsel in distress trope down our throats. In the real world. The internet only has a war of words. There's no reason a woman can't win those by herself. We're not talking fistfights here.
