Seems like there are a lot of white knights in here. I've never thought white knighting did anyone any favors. You are essentially looking down on the girls you're defending by the simple act of defending them just because they're girls. If women are to be looked at as equals, they should be able to take the heat and stand on their own 2 feet IMO. I am not one of those guys that hurls insults or PMs people. I think internet dating is as worthless as it gets but this is just my 2 cents on the issue.
Some of my favorite VG characters are women who fight for themselves and even men. I can't stand the damsels in distress...one reason why I detest the premise behind Mario. My all time favorite VG character is Aya Brea from the parasite eve series seen in my avatar.
