PS4 is sold out at many places not because ultra high demand, but because of low supplies.
People are not lining up at every store waiting to buy one, nor the price at Ebay and others places has got any higher.

There has been no restock at Walmart, GameStop, BestBuy (online) in the last 3 weeks. Demand has been met in the USA, people are pacient and can wait for more weeks or months to buy one, otherwise the scalper prices would have gone higher, as was the case with the Wii in 2006-2007.
