Have you ever herd about the donkey and the carrot? The only difference is youre giving youreself a carrot to chase and by the looks of it, you will continue to do so forever. If you feel the burden of it being forced on you then go and complain to sony about it, theres nothing I can do to help you. My brother doesnt like trophies either, he just hides the notifications and never looks at the trophy list, its really that simple to ignore it if you dont like it. oh and did I mention, he plays games just like me!...except I play them more to collect the trophies, easter eggs, secret endings and whatever else may be included with a game...if you dont like doing that, then no-one is forcing you to carry on playing past a certain point, its up to you whether you want to or not. If I find it fun and challenging to do so, I do it, sometimes I dont, because its not compulsory to get every single trophy, no-ones gonna shoot you if you dont do it. First I thought there maybe something I could say to end this, but theres no way im accepting that trophies negatively impact games because of the ridiculous reasons you gave before. I will keep stating the truth that its an add-on bolted to games after its development is complete. |
You're at it again, transposing arguments and forgetting which side is the one with the problem. Let me fetch this, since it's obvious that you've forgotten it already:

If only Nintendo gamers had the joy of collecting trophies for all of their games....which I just found out they dont. |
Ca you tell me how this becomes a problem to me that I should talk to Sony about? It is you, after all, that seems to have the problem with Nintendo NOT having them...as I stated in a previous argument, there are most likely valid explanations for that, if the consumers aren't talking much about missing it...
Congratulations, you solved the aesthetics problem, now on to the other several that you decided to ignore. Keep at it, we could actually be on to something sometime in the next month...
Do I like easter eggs and hidden endings? Sure. Would I prefer to find them myself, instead of it being hinted? Absolutely! Perhaps I just find it a lot more rewarding that I found it without any help, rather than needing a silly little trophy to hint me how to get it. Is the insecurity that great that you NEED something to show to your friends that you actually accomplished some particular thing in a game?
Your arguments are missing the broader aspects: There were two types of games that I'd consider detrimental in the last gen. Wii had shovelware motion games, and the other two consoles had, as it's been called "trophy fodder" games. Oh, you want to bring those over to the platform that I play on? Get lost! The last thing that we need is ANOTHER reason to introduce poor, often rushed games to the shelves that people will buy up in the pursuit of "trophy hunting". It gives publishers the wrong impression of what the market wants.
What you perceive to be the truth and what happens in the real world are in fact two different things. You willing it to be so does not make it happen...
