This list goes on and on. All feautres you see today in any game was copied from another game and implemented in their own. Yes sometimes you get brand new features but im sure that game got some of those features from another game.
Everything starts somewhere and it isnt important who copies who. What is important is if theyre good. None of this is the topic. It was an example out of 100s i could have used to show why copying competition can make each other better.
On the other hand copying something that was successful isnt always better for the gamers, as example day one dlc.
Halo 1,2,3,4,5 were meant as different games created in different years(several years apart). MGS Zeroes and phantom pain are being made in the same year and is even explained by the creator, hideo kojima as an "introduction".
The only reason i replied is to explain it wasnt a pot shot in anyway as i explained they make each other better.
