Depends. I played with He-Man, Transformer, Ghost Buster toys when I was a child. My sister had Barbie stuff.
I do not even know people that collect figurines except a few old ladies that collect dolls (for horrendous prices) or Kindersurprise toys.
TBH I have never seen a shop like the Comic Book store that is shown in the Big bang theory. This is to my knowledge mostly an american thing.
