With a population of aprox. 7 billion people, the ones who like to play games as a main hobby is actually very small. People can live their life with no video games without problems, most of them however can't without TV, movies, music, sports or other sources of entertainment. 

Unless you take Candy Crush out of mothers and grandmothers life. That will cause some riots.
