Because their compititors aren't.  DS didn't kill PSP.  The almost complete lack of games people give a shit about enough to buy a console for is Vitas main problem. 

Imagine the 3DS does not exist...Vita still is not appealing.

everyone is saying that it will 3ds because of how powerful it is...

 

then it was released... then it didnt... then it did not sell well... then 3ds has nothing to do with it... how beneficial to sony... because it can only affect nintendo but not the other way around...

 

This post has truly impressed me.  I remember the articles from analysts and jounalists--not even fanboys--and now the arguments have changed.

 

Nintendo, in the case of the 3DS at least, was able to see where they were messing up and make corrections.  If only Nintendo and Sony could do this with their struggling devices (Vita/Wii U) now.
