We have a clue that PS4 is looking like the winner. Sure, it's far from certain at this point, but everything seems to be going their way.
Nintendo is generally better suited than Microsoft to compete with Sony on a worldwide basis as the XBox is effectively shut out of key regions such as Japan. But I think the Wii U's struggles have handed the victory to Sony, and those struggles don't seem to be ending any time soon, only letting up a bit. And Sony played it safe and much smarter than they did with the PS3.
