I don't know. It's a tough call. Many people say TLOU but it's because of the current hype. Sure, the game was great and all, but what would've happened if TLOU came out back in 2008 and Metal Gear Solid IV came out last year? Everyone would be saying MGS4 was the game of the generation and not The Last Of Us despite it's really high quality. Hell, to be honest, I haven't seen anyone mentioning MGS4 at all in a long while. We humans tend to be forgetful, aren't we? In my opinion one can't call a recently released game "GOTG" because you're still a bit manipulated by the hype, in order to do it you must sit down and think really hard, analyzing all the great experiences you had.
But then again, just my opinion, folks.
