I have some excitement for 4k tv's. I've seen a few on displays at certain shops and they look pretty good. Although they usually have some random footage of an amazing vista showing while on display at shops...which isnt exactly what we watch 95% of the time. In fact we won't even get that demo footage...
And on the content side of things, its not looking very good...yet!We only starting to see an increase in 4k content...it will take a while before theirs a worthwhile library of easily accessible 4k content. Once the content is there and is compelling, I'll get more excited about it.
It's also a bit disappointing that companies are no longer pushing 3D... The main issue i had with 3D was that it wasn't as clear as non 3D. With 4k native res we can get a better 3D image.
