When was the last time you saw a new IP that's a competitive multiplayer focused shooter with this much hype? Over 75 Awards before its even out with literally everyone who's played it saying its defining a new generation of fps multiplayer.

Irrelevant. , and just 1 example, many a game has won many awards and hype at e3 only to fizzle.............e3 hypes means squat, very few actually gamers will even be aware of that. Also, the ps4 install base will be quite bigger then x1 by the time infamous launches.

Resistance 1 over 4 million, launch title, resisatnce 2 and 3 say hi.

 

Gran turismo, every second title with a much bigger install base sells less, and on and on, hundreds of examples. Quote away. Hyped game on new system, will sell regardless of install base.

 

Also, ps4 will have a bigger install base, so I guess you admit infamous well sell more if it means so much then?

Infamous is also a SP game and if we are going off previous installments it's a mediocore one too. 

Ouch.  Have you ever played Infamous?  I understand not everyone will like every game, but I definitely wouldn't consider them mediocore.
