Wii's attach rate is about 7. If everyone just played it for a month then abandoned it, the attach rate would be 2.

If you have solid figures to back this up, then by all means post them.

From this week's VGChartz numbers:

Wii software total: 866,987,924

Wii hardware total: 100,686,742

Take away Wii Sports, and you have 7.6 games per Wii console.

a large portion of the top selling wii games were heavilly bundled, wii sports resort, wii fit, as was wii play which saw a large portion of its sale as a result of the additional controller provided in the box. then taking in to account people buying new consoles to replace broken ones or to buy into new bundles, realistically youre looking at a 5.8 - 6.8 attach rate.

same goes for ps3 and 360 obviously, though since theyre still selling well and receiving solid new releases its anyones guess what their attach rates will end up at.

in any case, all attach rate tells us is that at some point or another the console sold x amount of games per unit, that number could have been a lot higher and progressively reduced as further units sold, but attach rate would not show that unless monitored consistently.

attach rate, therefor, is not proof that large numbers of owners are still using it, just proof that at one point or another they bought games, be it one or two or many.
