The gameplay certainly isnt solid though. You just need to use auto-attack through 95% of the game and you traverse corridor after corridor. The story itself is a fragmented mess that struggles to stay coherent. The characters are one-dimensional. Actually, lightning herself is completely void of any personality after 3 games and a spin-off.

So, objectively its not a good game. The gameplay and entertainment value is terrible. Just cause you got shiny graphics and nice music, doesnt mean you have a good game.

I'm guessing you didnt get far into the game cause if you auto-attack 95% of the time, chances are you'll get the controlling character KO'd which ends the game and takes you to the game over screen. Especially if you go full 3 party commando which is simply idiotic (not saying you but I know some people who originally played the game that did that lol).


Afraid i did. Went all the way to grand pulse and the open area. I was always hoping it would get better.

I'm not gonna bother anymore since it seems like la la land with these opinions. Its the world that is wrong, not the FF fans. ^^ Sorry, but i really really tried to like FFXIII, but the game is trash.
