well not everyone likes COD style games or yearly sports games. Some people like RPG's, Action adventures, platformers, arcade racers, futuristic racers, tactical games, puzzle games, snowboarding, rail shooters, and FPA's. Nintendo is the only publisher to basically cover most types of genres.

?

I'm inclined to say Sony produces games in a lot more genres than Nintendo (some being more popular than others).

They have: RPG, Action/adventures, platformers, arcade racers, simulation racers, futuristic racers, puzzle games, sports games, open world games, superhero games (hey, you count "snowboarding" as one genre), games that let you create, games that don't fit a genre, FPS, TPS, casual games etc.

And this list would grow quite a bit if you include all the 3rd party games on Sony platforms that never see the light of day on Nintendo's.

Didn't know they covered that much thanks. If Sony and Nintendo go, they will leave a huge impact in the gaming industry, but few publishers are going to even intend on making 2D and 3D platforms. Nintendo got that covered with  Mario, DK, and Kirby.  Sony makes amazing games no doubt, but EA, Ubisoft, and 2K can try to fill in (to an extent) what Sony left behind.
