I can believe everything about the article but it seems a very strange double standard.
/dev WiiU had an incomplete OS and infrastructure and this appeared to be true almost until the day it launched because we just barely got certain information and tools before launch and the console itself needed a day one patch....
Great but wasn't this the case with every console? Didn't we read stories about patches bricking consoles, networks crashing, long wait, load and install times and all manner of issues with the launch of Xbox One and PS4 as well?
/dev We thought we could polish this game more and add in more than the prior generation but we were short on time, resources and weren't sure of the return given the new hardware and tools.
Isn't this true for every new console? Aren't we told repeatedly in the forums that the reason most next gen titles on Xbox One and PS4 lack additional polish, don't do more than the prior generation and barely look like more than a small graphical upgrade is that the devs were short on time, resources and weren't sure of the return given the new hardware and tools?
/dev The tool are slow, immature, don't match our current workflow and it seems like everyone is trying to sort them out and get up to speed on them.
Again how is this not true for any other console launch?
