So without cloud they would have just 3 players? Not evaluating Hw but cloud, please learn to read. But if I were to take your clue Ps4 is twice stronger than xbone.

I am assuming that English is not your first language.  No disresepect meant, but some of your post are very difficult for me to follow.

That being said, the cloud is simply remote computer that ties to your local computing via the internet.  That can be storage, dedicated servers,  rendering offload etc.  My  understanding is that Microsoft has spent a TON of money here.  Dedicated serviers that are fast can only help the online gaming experience.  Also, this will set the bar higher for other developers, since once people have smoother online games with less lag, they will want that as the norm.

It's quite easy to verify that it isn't, but don't bother.

I know what Cloud is, and what it can do... what I don't know is why it is still being used as secret sauce... if Internet isn't good enough to have client-host, how would it be for off loading computing process? What I don't like is the flip flooping of discurse of people to benefit their agenda... I don't support PS fans when they are doing this and won't stand for Xbox fans doing the same.

Fair enough.  But I don't think this is secret sauce once you get past some of the marketing spin.  The cloud is only as good as how much money you throw at it.  Faster servers, located on a fast trunk, etc.

And yes, even though someone might be able to offload processing because their internet connection is very good, another person would not if their connectiong was bad.  We are a way off from true computing offload, since latency would have to be low and consistenly low.  But some NPC paths, jobs, etc.  Could be potentially offloaded assuming they were not timing criticial to the match.

 

Im sure they are trying to think of some clever ways to use cloud computer here.  And there is nothing about this game that could not also be done on a PS4 attached to the same high quality servers.  The real wild card is how good sonys servers are compared to microsoft.

Yep, it's spin and it's acceptable to companies, now for people that don't receive paychecks it's odd... well fanboyism is odd.

Certainly we will see better use (altough server is a good use for a lot of people... but my take were on people that expected the spin to become true really fast, and tought the E3 presentations were prettier than Sony because of the cloud and now say that dedicated servers are better if from MS and that is what Cloud should be considered).

Sony probably have good servers, but probably not as spread as Azure and that is why they don't offer the same deal or why they will launch Playstation Now in phases (probably). They could rent capacity from other major servers for reduced costs to subrent or give (depending on the case) for smaller devs. But in the end Titanfal was moneyhatted (and it seems like it was by EA behind Respawn back) and I'm ok with that, just not with the garbage of some PRs of "only possible with the cloud" meaning more than dedicated servers with costs already paid.
