Well... its not even my region... There are tons of videos on youtube showing how slow the average speed in USA and Canada is compared to the rest of the world... When I play games like sc2 online, people whine about how bad their internet speeds are... Also that plan is pretty much all over vancouver. You can pay more to get higher speeds but it is certainly an issue in NA because if you compare NA to other first world countries/contenents in terms of average internet speeds, NA is really bad for price/value... Obviously there are exceptions as with everything but generally, from the videos and experience that I have. Its pretty bad... you can also google tons of sites about Canada's isps and its pretty bad in majority of the places... I live in Vancouver which is pretty much the main city in BC, Canada in terms of population and technology so if we don't have good speeds here, we won't have good speeds in BC which is a giant region...
And I know infrastructure isn't free but if you search up the telecommunications act of 1986 (the date might be off) in USA... The Government paid the ISPs such as time warner and etc billions and billions of dollars to upgrade the infrastructure and they continue to pay them to upgrade the infrastructure but these guys don't do it cause they are greedy... It is sad imo
Google fiber is doing what the government paid Time Warner and etc are suppose to do... Think about it for a second, Google isn't even an ISP and they can give people 1Gbps internet for $70/month.. That is nuts... All I am saying is, Internet speeds are a joke in NA for most regions compared to every other major first world country
