Heh, the pipes ended up freezing in my new rental home, or at least some of them did. Came home and all the water was off, so i went and found the main and turned it back on. Quite fortunately it wasn't bad enough that the pipes burst when i did that, as the landlord later came back and explained. We managed to get it working again in short order, however.
