I swear, it's only people who haven't played Pokemon or are fans of the series (enough to buy the games) who think they should be counted separately. Anybody educated in regards to what these games are does not have that opinion. Pokemon X and Pokemon Y ARE the same game, released in two different versions. In fact, they're so much the same game that ALL multiplayer functions are shared between them.
