True, the PSP go wasn't loved, but there were still plenty of folks who thought of it as a good move (similar to what we've recently seen with PS Vita TV). Naturally, opinions changed after launch and failure, because the company didn't deliver sales numbers that were worth bragging about. That, of course, also holds true for other companies' fans, but the difference we are talking about is that virtually any new Sony product is met with enthusiasm.
The price of the Vita was celebrated by Sony fans, even after Nintendo had dropped the price of the 3DS to $170. The memory cards weren't seen as an issue either, because after all the Vita was so much more powerful and advanced than the 3DS. While not many Sony fans expected the Vita to beat the 3DS in sales, the general consensus was around a 55/45 split in market share in favor of the 3DS. In other words, it was believed that Sony was making all the right moves to gain ground on Nintendo in the handheld market.

Very selective memory you got there, Rol. The truth is that the 3d, pspgo, and price of memory cards received significantly more negative remaks than positive from Sony fans. As somone who's paid close attnetion to all 3, I don't see how you can say that even people on the internet supported such decisions/products. I was interested in all three of them, hence why I paid close attention to reactions. What you fail to mention (or your selective memory is messing with you) is the praise wiiu recieved when it was revealed. But then when it started pulling numbers below expectations people/ninty fans started attacking Ninty. Who's really worried about bragging rights here?
As far as I'm concerned Sony fans are as good/bad as MS/ninty fans. Members from all three fanbases seem to flip flop and diplay hypocricy. It's really hard to see it unless you're actually unbiased, which is hard for most people, especially when talking numbers is a way of living for so many years.

I did mention just that.
What happened after the reveals of Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze last summer is something that I've never seen happen to anything that Sony did. The level of criticism isn't in the same league.

I'm referring to something different, Rol. Not the gamers' disappointment after Ninty failed to deliver, but the flip flopping. Calling wiiu innovative, insane number of posts about nintendomination, buying Ninty stocks, and praising the tablet and then constantly saying how terrible the tablet is and that there should be a new model without it. Do you think that if sales were at wii levels, people wouldn't be praising Ninty for their innovation? The wii didn't have that many great games at first, but did well because of the motion controls. My point is that the wiiu was embraced by vgchartzers, juts like Sony fans praised several Sony products including the ps3 before they came out. Similarly, both fanbases criticize a product after it is released. No fanbase as a whole is better than the other. Neither fanabase hypes things more than the other.
