TEARAWAY won the Best Game No-One-Played on VGCawards... and Ys Celceta was nominee... kinda sad award to win...

An award is an award, so we'll take it!

Then again, after the blow we received of the incredible Soul Sacrifice being nominated for most disappointing game, I will never ever forgive the VGC staff -_-

EVER

I Was the one who 'reviewed' that game, and I have to tell you it was flat out terrible.  Well, my experiences were. IT was just bland, repetitive, uniniteresting, and grindy.  Don't try telling me I 'just don't like hunting games', because I loved Ragnarok Odyssey and have enjoyed every monster hunter game I've played.  Soul Sacrifice was just blech from beginning to end.  and seriously, dem graffix!?  ugly.

Yes,I do remember your "you were the chosen one" review and I respected the fact that you realized that it's not your cup of tea and didn't write a proper review. As I mentioned after I read your review, you're entitled to your opinion, but I still think you were too harsh on it. The music is amazing and I fail to see how anyone would miss and not comment on how good it is. How you can call the graphics ugly is also beyond me. The lack of exploration is part of the game. It's like asking for a story from a Mario game. The developers chose not to have any. And for me, it was a good decision. It's a portable game we're talking about. I'm glad that it takes between 2 - 45 minutes to beat a mission. I played monster hunter for a few hours and playing it on handheld didn't feel right. Had it been a ps3 game, it's be a different story. Also, just because you like other hunter games, it doesn't mean you'll like all good hunter games. I loved PSASBR and hate Smash. Same genre, but yet very different games.

Had I been a reviewer and was asked to write a professional review on Smash, I would have asked someone else to do it (after realizing that the gamejust isn't for me). If I absolutely had to write a review, though, I would still give it a good score, because techinically it is a good game. Same goes for Soul Sacrfice. There's a reason that most people on this thread mention how much they enjoyed SS, Tearaway and Gravity Rush. Calling any of those games disappointing as a reviewer is, as far as I'm concerned, unprofessional. In that category, you need to take into account the general consensus, which is positive for SS. And I doubt enough vgc reviewers played SS to call it a disappointment.

Just my two cents.
