Nintendo have their hands full with keeping the 3DS huge sales and this is hurting the WiiU quite a bit. As a company, thhey probably don´t care: profit is profit, who give a damn where does it come from?

They probably do care where it comes from considering they have to appease their stockholders. Stockholders can be very fidgety and when something doesn't look good, they take notice. Grave notice...

Yes, makes sense, then it is probably a matter of no choice left: they know the WiiU needs ammo but they can´t let the 3DS lose steam, it is quite a conundrum really =/
