the market spoke on the matter and said 3D doesn't matter to them.
ps4 (and xbone too i believe) are perfectly capable of doing 3D but the developer has to support it. so long as market doesn't give a shit about 3D developers won't waste time/money/resources on supporting the feature in game. so yep, it's dead.
