It's simply amazing how the PS4 has sold so much with one OK exclusive and a Bad exclusive. Guess they just wanted to play slightly better multi platforms.

People only buy consoles for what's currently available?

No, but they should.

This.......is possibly the silliest thing i have ever read. You expect people to not take into account that a console lasts years and a huge amount of games will be released for them in the future? People buy conssoles and then throw them in the trash after a few weeks?

No, but consoles lose value over time.

The more you wait:

- Better sku you can get

Not 100% true. I know I preferred my launch PS3 with Backwards Compatibility and extra USB ports to my slim PS3.

- Better Firmware

Again not %100 true. New problems are introduced from time to time with newer firmware.

- Cheaper

Can't argue against this one.

- Better deals on Live/Gold

From buying my new PS4 I got nearly $100 in rewards points to put on my PSN account on top of a discounted year of PS+ (plus an extra thirty days free) I got a free game with two of my retail purchases etc. Point is I got mad deals for buying a PS4 at launch. I have never gotten so many rewards or deals in a single group of game transactions in my nearly 15 years of buying my own videogames.

Consoles are not investments, you don't profit from rushing towards them.

Agree it's not an investment as that would imply you are gaining monetary value (anyone reading this please don't try to say its an investment in your time or fun or some other argument because that would be silly) BUT you do get to play games that those who havent adopted yet cannot, or better versions of cross gen titles and there are features on these next gen systems that aren't available on current gen. So it's not like you are losing out by adopting early.

If there is no game that you want to play right now, there is only to gain by waiting.

True enough. Can't argue the point.
