Been there and done that.
Kid started off watching me play Space Channel 5 and other colorful games. Loved watchung Super Mario Sunshine and the like. Colorful, happy games. Then, I decided it was time for her to play.
First was Super Rub a Dub HD and Feeding Frenzy (to teach her the analog stick). Then, she was my co-pilot in Super Mario Galaxy. One day, she beat The Maw, and from that point on, she's been my best friend. Having a kid that loves gaming with you=priceless.
