I think there's a little bit of contradiction between your posts. First you said it was directed for the mass market, then you say it's aimed 'directly' to the 'exercise market'...... you're not making sense.

 the masses are casual exercisers, not 'really into exercise'

 to make it clear: it will sell to, and is targeted to, the 90+% of Americans that are somewhat into being healthy, but not motivated enough to be 'really into exercise'...

 

to clarify, 'really into exercise' here means those who go to gym and lift weights consistently and run 5 miles a day, etc

there are many who work out several days a week and want to stay fit, but aren't 'really into exercise'...these people will also be target customers for wii fit...the women who join curves and who do pilates and step aerobics and buy thigh masters and jog a little each day...they are not so 'into exercise' that they dismiss wii fit as 'a toy' or 'not effective'
