Denmark:
PC and console based games is about equally popular.
in the console space. playstation is undoubtedly the leading brand.. wii got popular, but that was really a one hit wonder from nintendos side.. even so i would say that by now more people has ps3's than wii's.
the original xbox was completely ignored here.. i saw only one person who owned one while everyone had ps2's and had at least heard of the gamecube. they caught up a bit with the 360, but i would still say that the market goes something like this: ps3 - 45percent. wii - 35 percent. x360 -20..
there is not a lot of mainstream recognition in videogames.. GTAv had ads everywhere but otherwise it has been pretty underground for this entire console generation.. on the flipside whenever there is some sort of mainstream media mention of gaming, it isnt at all trying to tell us that videogames is bad for our soul and whatnot.( in general though, our media is very kind and neutral compared to the fear mongeres on fox and some other american tv channels.)
