No point in threads when you're going to shape the answer yourself. Fact is if gaming crashed, MS has by far the most amount of money to sustain.

You should try reading and comprehending the question first before you post. The question was asking JUST the gaming division alone. The other divisions of any of the three companies don't matter because he specifically said only the gaming division. With that in mind, Microsoft will be the one to suffer the most because it's gaming division has till this day been unprofitable.

I know that he is talking about the gaming divisions purely in his question, however what the company has outside of gaming assets are a very important consideration in the scenario he brought up in his question. If you answered the question the way the OP has  it set up, you'd come to the conclusion that Nintendo would be the least trouble based on their profits in comparision to the gaming divisions of Sony and Microsoft. Unfortunately  the scenario playing out strictly to the OP's rules would be very unlikely in the real world.

If you were to consider a realistic view of the scenario brought up in the question...

Microsoft would be in the least trouble, because they more money that they could invest towards their gaming division to keep it afloat if they wanted to.

Considering Sony's current situation, they would probably drop out of gaming to perserve the rest of their company, because I don't think they'd want to take more of a hit on a crashed industry.

Nintendo is completely screwed... They're purely a gaming company, so what exactly would they have to fall back on.
