Completely off-topic, but your quote about Playstation being Sony's last hope reminded me of this article I read last year. Games (and all other electronics) make profit, but are not a very big slice of the Sony profit pie-chart.
Their real bread and butter, that represented 63% of their total operating profit for last year was actually through selling... (Drumroll please)
