You can eat it, or vaporize, negating all ill effects on the lungs.   when eaten, it is by far the most benign drug.   If you consume 5 ccups of coffee a day you will mess up your kidneys over time.  If you ate 5 pot cookies, or took 5 Cannicaps, your body will fare MUCH better.

and studies have shown the health risks from tobacco and alcohol GREATLY exceed that of marijuana.  Even when smoked.   There are even studies right now showing that people who smoke pot while also smoke tobacco, reduce the rate of cancer.(when compared to tobacco only smokers)

The LD-50 for THC is also multiple times high than alcohol, tobacco or caffiene.   There are reported deaths from OD on those 3 every year.   You wouldnt want someone drunk, high on cough medicine, or oxy's flying a plane either,  you cant bring that kind of shit into a discussion about a drugs dangers,  that just means a pilot high on anything is dangerous and its already not allowed.

Eating it is worse than smoking it if you are in a working-position where you are responsible for others as you get "body stoned", if you are a pilot, doctor, bus driver, would you get stoned and put dozens of lives at risk? Remember, people in general are idiots, if they think they can get away with it, they will give it a try.
Thus, Marijuana can cause lots of indirect deaths rather than direct ones, it is more dangerous in that regard compared to "cough medicine" and is equally as dangerous as alcohol and it -IS- a fair point and it -should- be included in discussions as it's an effect of the drug.

Plus, being stoned is allot easier to hide than being drunk.

Majority of people smoke it, not actually consume it via food or drinks, so your point is moot.
However, anything you "inhale" be it, smog, cigarette smoke or mariguana smoke is going to be bad for you, it's foreign particulate matter that doesn't belong in the body, period, people can paint all the shiny light on it as they wan't, it is still bad for you.

As for caffiene, the results will be always skewed, caffiene is the worlds most consumed drug, marijuana is relatively "unknown" in comparison.
You would need to drink roughly 100 cups of coffee within a very short period to get an overdose, it's not going to happen, just like a THC overdose from smoking weed isn't going to happen. (Do note, I wasn't arguing the fact you can't get an overdose from weed.)
