i'm on that schedule too (or maybe even further behind).   

just started ni no kuni and have tomb raider and bioshock infinate (once released on ps+) and the last of us after that.   that said, every once and a while i can't not buy a game day 1. 

Yeah some games are harder to resist than others. Back in the day there is no way I could resist Halo 3 for a month let alone 6 months...

But I think as I am getting older, gaming in general is sliding down in terms of fun factor it offers. Playing halo 5 to me, while still fun, will be about as fun as watching an episode of Top Gear or going roller blading. So it can wait... :)
